Acura Integra Auto Repair & Service

Acura Integra - A Brief History:

Honda launched the Acura brand to create a separate luxury division to appeal to up-market buyers. At first, there were only two models; the Integra and the Legend. The Integra debuted in Japan in 1985 and went on sale in North America the following year as part of the then-new luxury lineup. The Integra was a sporty hatchback (only hatchbacks were available in North America), and the vehicle’s reliability and performance made it an instant hit, especially for those buyers looking for a cheaper alternative to German imports.

The Emergence of VTEC:

V-tec

Using the knowledge gained from Formula 1 racing, Acura introduced its VTEC variable valve timing system to the Integra in the early '90s. The system helped the Integra squeeze every drop of power out of its small 4-cylinder engine while maintaining fuel efficiency.

A+ Japanese Auto Repair Inc. & The Acura Integra:

Throughout the years, the Integra developed a large following of consumers since it was able to satisfy both the need for a basic commuter car and the desire for more upscale features and performance. In addition, consumers were reassured by their confidence in Honda’s reliability and low ownership costs. More importantly, the Integra showed that Acura was able to compete with the global luxury car manufacturers in terms of design, quality and creature comforts.A+ Japanese auto repair has been performing auto repair and service on the Acura Integra since we opened our doors in 1997.
