I recently took my car here based on a friend's recommendation. The service was excellent. Justin was upfront with the pricing and approach for my car's recommended maintenance schedule. Check in was easy and the updates both by e-mail and phone were convenient. Knowing where to park the car is a bit tough given the limited parking space and the busy Industrial Rd. Better than a shop where I had to stand in a parking lot of broken cars, fewer perks than the dealership.In the end, they did less service on the car than the recommended schedule because they told me my car could wait due to its good condition. While they saved me on needed repairs, I do feel the prices are a bit high. The oil change was a "Spring special" but it is still more than I'd pay elsewhere.It was great to have the option to either pick up the car during business hours or after hours. The one thing that left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth was finding my license plate frame on the floor of my car because they'd put an "A+ Japanese Repair" frame on my car. NOT OK. I don't know how they decide who's car gets one of their business license plate frames, but they did not ask my permission. Overall, this shop is a good option to have but maybe not for all situations. My rating is more like a 3.5 but I rounded up.

Justin and The team go to great lengths to satisfy their customers. They get job done on time, if not earlier then mentioned, and the team of mechanics is excellent. Justin is the go to guy, he's straight forward and gives the best recommendations, and is overall a down to earth guy. Definitely recommend this place to everyone

Felt like the auto wasn't doing so hot in the brakes department and gave these guys a call after paying a ton at the deal for our other car (for a brake issue as well). The hours are great for those who work as they are open early if you need to drop off (they also offer overnight drop off) as well as Saturday morning appointments. As it turned out, I needed to bring it in on a Saturday. I let them know that I would love to have the car back the same day (I wasn't holding my breath). They told me they would do what they could and would give me a ride anywhere I needed to go while I waited.After only 2-3 hours, I was given a call that my car was ready (after a previous call to go over what they found to be the problem). Rob and his team were honest with me about what I absolutely should have done. I was able to use a Yelp deal and Rob even looked into pricing for our other car that needs a repair and send me a detail via e-mail.The service here is great and you are put at ease when you know you may have to pay for a large repair. It is true, the pricing may be a tad big high, I trust that the work here is done well and it is less than the dealer.

My cousin loaned me a 90s Nissan with a wobbly front end. Took it in for an alignment but they would not do that because the right ball-joint was bad and the rims were all warped. They showed me everything while the car was on the lift. I was very impressed by their candor and transparency. Makes me want to buy an old Japanese car just so I would have a good mechanic, but probably not my cousin's Nissan...

Great customer service. I called A+ Japanese Auto Repair for the first time with a question about my vehicle where one of the break lights was not working and I wasn't able to figure it out what the cause might have been while searching online. Rob speculated what the problem may just be that only one of the two filaments in the bulb was burnt out and asked me to come by. I did, he was right, and he replaced the bulb for me for free. It was evident that the staff is knowledgeable and provides great customer service. I'll be taking my vehicle to A+ for future maintenance.

Very good service! I spoke with Rob to set up an appointment for my transmission fluid exchange. I was looking to shift from going to a car dealer for service because they were just charging to much. The day of my appointment, I came in and sat down with Rob. He gave me details on the things that should be done and qouted me with a good price. They offered me to bring me to my house instead of staying and waiting. Overall, I like what I see so far. I am looking forward to working with Rob even further.

VERY SERVICE ORIENTED. My Prius needed a regular service so I brought it in to A+ Japanese because they had good reviews on Nextdoor Woodside. Justin, my service tech went above and beyond by having my car actually ready when promised and even found a repair that was covered under warranty. He took care of it all and gave me daily updates. They are great and would highly recommend. You will not be dissapointed!

I saved a lot of money by taking my car to A Plus Japanese versus the dealer. ( more on this in a moment) My Infinity G 35 Coupe was over heating. Called Rob Lucas the Service Mgr. and made arrangements to bring my car in. Within 2 or 3 work hours Rob called me to explain the issue, a cracked seam in the radiator. Rob told me the car would be repaired and ready for pick up by the end of the work day. Picked up the car at 4 PM, repairs made and found a very nice and professional young man by the name of Della was finishing up with washing my car. Now the BEST and EXTREMELY important part. No charge!!! Zero! Because A Plus guarantees their work and parts for 24,000 or 24 months. This car had the radiator replaced 15 months ago but apparently a weak seam during manufacture gave out. A dealership warrants their parts and labor for 12,000 miles or 12 months. Bottom line I saved nearly $ 600.00. These folks at A Plus are GREAT and that is why I have been a loyal customer for years and will continue to be a loyal customer. If you care about your Japanese car, A Plus is the place to go for service in my opinion.
