I brought my 2006 Toyota Higlander in a few weeks ago - has 99k miles and never had any work done except for oil changes. I knew it was time for timing belt change. Justin Mills went over the car thoroughly and recommended a few other maintenance items such as a new battery/alternator. I decided the battery/alternator could wait. One week later, on a friday afternoon, my battery light went on. I called Justin and he did not hesitate to tell me to come right in. I barely made it there before my car died. I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO JUSTIN !!Needless to say I will be a faithful client of A+Japanes. They are great, helpful, friendly and knowledgable

I came here to get several thing looked at on my 02 Volvo as I had just moved to the area and heard a recommendation for A+ Japanese from an employee I luckily happened to run into! They were so welcoming and accommodating. I worked directly with Justin (he is awesome!) He listened intently as I described all the things that could be potentially wrong with my car - I even took one of the mechanics on a test drive so they would be confident they knew the exact things I was talking about when I described them . I left my Volvo with them for the weekend and the following week had received an email complete with photos of parts they believed may need work. I talked with Justin on the phone several times as he ensured I understood the recommended services and he was very patient as I took notes! The photos and explanations made me feel like they were completely honest with me and we were all on the same page ! They helped me fix what we determined was the most important to fix without making me feel pressured to do anything I didn't want to. When I went to pick up my car and it wasn't finished (my fault because I didn't call) they very quickly gave me a ride back to work. I am confident I'd go back for ANY car issues as well as recommend A+ to all people looking for a friendly, thorough mechanic !

Excellent customer service. Honest and friendly folks here. I went in to replace a light bulb (I had brought my own replacement) and Justin had it changed it for free. This is where I will be coming for future service!

I just recently moved to Northern California and had a car issue yesterday on my way home from work on the 880 near Oakland. My car randomly shut off at a stop light and it was the first time I had ever had any issues with my 2009 Ford Escape - I knew of A+ Japanese Auto Repair from a friend who had been there before so i decided to stop in on my way home and explain the issue i had with my car. Once i got there Rob (front desk guy) came to my rescue and treated my car issue as an emergency, called Enterprise and got me a rental within 15 minutes of being there. The Enterprise people were great as well! Rob and the team looked at my car today and he called me twice with updates and once they were finished doing a one over he would let me know when i could come get my car. He called me and said they did not find the glitch that I was potentially having problems with to cause my car to randomly shut off but he assured me that they did a thorough review of it and had 2 different specialists drive it around to check it out. As a young woman, not from this area and needing help fast, i felt very comfortable talking with Rob and Justin and truly felt they were there to help me to the best of their ability. After receiving the rental car for a night and all of today, having them take a look at my car all day today as well and not finding anything wrong with it - I was charged $0 at the end of it. That is true customer service. I would recommend these guys to anyone!!

I was in a bind one Saturday before Christmas. Would you believe my battery failed at about 1:15 pm? I used Yelp to find a possible option. A+ was open and said they could help me out. They close at 2 on Saturdays and worked me in. I was really impressed with the care and conversations the front office person had with the other customers; I was wondering if he was nice to just me. Oh no, he had a great relationship with everyone. Two real pluses:1. I was able to use the Yelp discount I purchased on the spot2. They washed my car!!Thank you for such great emergency service!
