San Carlos Auto Repair

The A+ Japanese Auto team worked its magic to put back my 255,000-mile Honda after I rammed it into a curb with such force that the driver's airbag deployed. But the team found that it was A-OK and could be safely driven. Hats off, again, to a superb repair job!

My car was misfiring at high speeds and felt very unsafe to drive. After taking it to two other repair shops, they couldn't assess the exact problem, or thought it was the ignition coils but everything seemed fine. When all hope was lost we looked for one more shop. Instead of replacing all coils and spark plugs (which the other shops suggested), A+ Japanese actually took the time and extra effort to test all the ignition coils and deduced that a previous shop had used an after-market coil that was a bit too long to function correctly. Thanks A+ for the courteous treatment and quality work. Car drives better than ever!

I took the Prius that I planned to purchase from my brother to A+ Japanese Auto Repair to see if there were any "gotchas" with the vehicle before concluding the deal. Eric, Rob, and his team crack-jack mechanics gave me a full report. I needed a bit more TLC purchases to make the car safe, and Rob assisted in helping me connect with a trusted body shop to get it looking pretty spiffy. I am now the proud owner of a well-maintained Prius!

These guys are awesome. Super organized and dependable. Always feel like they have my best interests at heart. They have so much business they don't need to look for unnecessary things to do. However they always tell you if they think something should be done and help you assess whether it should be done right away. Price is always fair.

I needed to get Eric was able to fit me in on a Saturday and the A+ team did a really thorough inspection of the car I was looking at buying. He walked me through a detailed report of the maintenance items that needed to be done (both routine adding fluids and changing air filters and bigger items like sidewall cracking on tires). I'd highly recommend A+ to anyone looking to get a used car inspected prior to purchasing it.

Eric and his team took good care of my car and did it within the timeframe I needed - from making sure the protective covers were over the seats and arm rest, to the oil change and other road-ready testing, to the final touch of washing down the exterior, which was a welcome surprise.
