Hey so I dropped off my car to these guys during the COVID-19 pandemic my engine light was blinking so I knew I had to get it fixed right away. A friend of mine referred me to these guys right away they were updating me sending me emails with detailed information about my spark plugs being shot out. The email really broke it down nicely outlining everything they were doing. They even said they had some more suggested recommendations they could do on the car but they let me know about that in advance and said not to worry about that at this time for the matter has been fixed and they recommended I drive my car 500 miles and if the engine light doesn’t come back on then those other recommendations don’t need to be needed at this time. The thing that my friend said when he referred me was these guys fixed a simple transmission problem while another shop was trying to replace the whole entire transmission therefore he saved $2800 and we all know how much money talks so that’s what struck out to me. I’ve only driven 100 miles so far my car is running nicely and these guys for nothing but courteous and friendly over the phone and they even dropped off my car to my place! Yes I recommend these guys!

After moving back to the Bay, it was time to find a new auto shop and I feel so incredibly lucky to have found A+ Japanese Auto Repair on Yelp. Gave them a quick call and set up an appointment for the next morning. I was greeted with some of the best customer service I have experienced, and they were extremely conscious of keeping their customers and staff’s health a priority by following all CDC and state safety protocol. Jason was very helpful in communicating all info over the phone, and keeping me updated on my car’s progress. The techs here were even so great as to find and fix a damaged part that I had not even known about. I got a call and they let me know they could do the additional repair with no additional labor cost, just the cost of a new part. Jason and his team are professional, transparent, and compassionate, and I can’t recommend them enough to anyone who might feel left in the dark or nervous about taking their car in.

I brought in my 16 year Infiniti to do an oil change and check the engine as I had heard a weird noise recently. Justin was extremely helpful and easy to work with. After the quote (very fair price) came in for how much I needed to pay for repairs (spark plugs, driving belts, etc), my husband and I decided it was time to not invest any more into this car as we have a relatively young car already at home and might be looking into getting a new car in the near future. We let Justin know we didn't want to move forward with all the repairs, Justin gave us a call back and let us know he had a buyer for the car and negotiated a price for us. We are so glad with how things worked out! We'll definitely be visiting them again for any future car needs.

Great customer service from Naeem. The shop seems to be slightly more expensive than some others, but worth it. I also really appreciated the photos they take throughout the inspection.

My car was under warranty at Toyota 101 and they consistently screwed up and always had some excuse as to why something was not done or not done correctly. Our close friend spoke very highly of A+ Japanese, so when Toyota 101 recommended new brakes for my car I brought it to A+ Japanese for a quote. Not only did they replace my brakes, they did it the same day for $580 less than the dealer. I have been loyal to them since then. I just had my battery replaced and they came to my house with jumper cables to get the car and returned it later with a new battery. Naeem has been my service advisor and is fantastic! He communicates well and keeps me updated on the progress and findings with my car, along with accurate estimates for repair. I don’t know any of the mechanics, but I have never had a problem with my car after bringing it to them. They are honest, knowledgeable, friendly and get the job done right the first time, for a better price than Toyota 101. They truly are A+ and worthy of the 5 star rating!
