These guys are the best. They take the time to carefully explain what is wrong. They don’t try to upsell you and they are very girl-friendly. I have been taking my Subaru Forresters to them for years.

Justin was very helpful through the diagnostic work on our 2007 Toyota Prius. He explained our options and gave us good direction for next steps.

Great place to take your import vehicle. Staff is very knowledgeable. The front office is great and they really go the extra mile. Jason Burtis is one of the service professionals there, great guy and knows A LOT! They do have courtesy cars which was great because I needed to run. Errands. They kept me updated on everything with my vehicle. I will be back!

Lots of people got good experience at this place. But I have bad one. Ask me to do what the car don't need, which can cost me near 2 grands, but ignore the real issue. I'm quite busy, they kept my cars 3 days and just told me the battery is not good(for the steering issue), i definitely expect more outcome for three days' work, do you really inspect the steering system? For the braking noise issue, they quote 30% more than the other place to replace the pads and rotors, and both use the same OEM parts. I just go ahead to other place to fix it. After left review, the shop manager contacted me to followup this issue. That might be the reason i raise one star for this place. But if you really care about your business, pls care about the customer at first place not afterwards, I may come back next week to see if they can be more serious. Stay tuned, will update later.

I've brought my Prius to A+ auto twice and both times have been a fantastic experience. They are helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. Unlike other repair shops, they have had an open and honest dialogue from the very first contact, and have never talking down to me or been condescending. They could have easily taken advantage of my lack of knowledge about cars to overcharge and instead, they explained what was happening and why and gave me options on how to approach the repairs. I will never take my cars elsewhere now that I've found them.

I definitely recommend this shop! The customer service and quality of service on my car was outstanding! I know nothing about cars but Naeem was extremely professional and carefully explained everything to me. I was advised of every step so I knew exactly what was wrong with my car and what was needed to repair it. The price was very fair for the the type of repair needed and the warranty offered was generous. I have no qualms about returning to this shop for future needs. A+ Japanese Auto Repair in San Carlos has provided outstanding service on our 2003 Honda Accord since we purchased it new. The car is excellent but any vehicle also needs top level service to keep it running all these years. A+ Japanese Auto Repair has provided that excellent service.
