SERVICE: 5/5First time customer here. I've been bringing my car to the dealership for the past 7 years. After the manager of the dealership left, I was set to find another place to bring my car in for service. After reading reviews, I thought I'd give A+ Japanese Auto Repair a try. It was easy to make an appointment and they were very accommodating. They even offer Uber rides as their courtesy shuttle service.Naeem was the service manager that helped me. He seemed pretty honest and was very helpful with my car's inspection/services. I brought it in to check to see if my car was leaking oil. I've always been skeptical about private auto repair businesses, but I don't think you can go wrong bringing your car here. I'll definitely look at coming back here when I need a full car service and see how that goes. I would recommend Naeem.

I just moved to San Carlos and had not yet estabished a relationship with a local auto service center. My wife and I both drive Mercedes and have had these two cars serviced at the dealership for obvious reasons. We have four daughters, three of which are now driving (yikes). Out of the seven cars we have in the family, four are Japanese cars so when the need for service came about, I turned to Google to search for a local establishment. When I called A+ I was greeted with enthusiasm by an associate named Justin. Justin was so welcoming that after just a few minutes of discussing my needs, I knew I had found my local service center. When I dropped off my vehicle i was surprised to see that this business operated much like the dealership service center I had been used to - Justin was acctually a service adviser, similar to what you would find at a dealership - I had never seen this before at a local shop. The service was outstanding, the communication was stellar,and they sent me home in an Uber - highly recommend this place and Justin is awesome!!

These guys are awesome. Got a regular inspection done after my car overheated. They told me exactly what was wrong with it and how much it was going to cost me to get it back on the road. Felt the quotes were fair. Treated me well but decided to get the repairs done elsewhere. Rob and the gang seriously know the meaning of customer service.

It was my first time in the shop. Service was great and I'll be back there for sure. It's not getting 5 stars just because prices are quite compatible a Toyota dealer.

Justin helped fix our nonprofit agency's delivery van that badly needed repairs. now we can drive around the county picking up and delivering donated medical supplies to people with disabilities. Thanks Justin @A+!

Justin was a world of help for our nonprofit, the Center for Independence in San Mateo. We have a company van that we take around the county to pick up and deliver used medical equipment for people with disabilities in need. But the van was a mess. Justin was completely accommodating - from picking up our van - getting it jump started and taking it to the shop - to delivering it in just over a week - A+ made sure we were taken care of. He was extremely patient with my 100 questions and requests for quotes and revisions to placate our board of directors to approve the costs. Our agency is more than happy with the results, as the van runs smooth as butter and we can now go back to serving the good people with disabilities in our community once again thanks to Justin and A+ Japanese Auto Repair!

This shop is great from the moment you call them. I had a dealership in Redwood city tell me I needed four wheel bearings replaced, which I thought very odd. So did Naeem, my customer service rep, at A+ and said to bring it in and that probably it was less than that. Sure enough, I brought it in and he had two technicians look at it and only one wheel bearing was bad! I had them work on it and they had it back to me one business day later. Thanks A+ for the good experience at an auto shop.

This is the best place in the world for auto repair! I totally trust the mechanics there and have been taking my cars to them for 20 years. Recently they diagnosed an airbag flashing light as having to go to the dealer, and didn't charge me for the diagnostic. They send me home with Uber so I don't have to wait through 3 other people to get to their location, as I did with the dealer. They know me by name, and give me hugs at the end of the transaction. I have sent all my friends and family to them. I always have confidence that my car is in good shape, and I can trust it, since I am on the highway all the time. These guys are like going to the dealer but without the cost! They are big on customer service and took great care of my Toyota Prius. It was kind of cool getting photos of the repairs as they were in process too.
