A+ Japanese Auto Repair, Inc.
Wow, I was really surprised with some of the negative experiences expressed on Yelp. I also encountered high repair estimates, but choose to evaluate it a different way. A+ chooses to recommend a thorough repair such that your car runs like new. Part prices are comparable to other shops and the labor is a little higher than most. With that, you get stellar, competent, honest work done on your car. A 2yr/ 24k warranty is beyond other shop's warranty. Add in complementary ride to and from work/ home. Add in photographic evidence to back up their analysis, All this means a higher overhead, which is reflected in their shop rate. The bottom line: If you're here for top quality work, go to A+. If you're especially here because of major front end issues like bushings, broken or cracked axle, etc, be prepared for a sticker shock because this work is labor intensive. If you want a partial solution aka "half a***d" or a limp-along solution, then go elsewhere before destroying this shop's reputation on Yelp. You will not find service advisors like Justin Mills, Rob and Naeem. They're brutally honest, but you always have the option of declining service and going elsewhere. I had to laugh at one of the reviews concerning worn bushings. If the control arm also has play or you had a cracked axle along with the bushings and you're unable to maintain alignment, what's the point of just replacing the bushings. Just like there is a need for smart shops, owners need to be smart and realistic. Otherwise, consign yourself to leasing and changing new cars every three years. Finally, learn to be proactive and maintain your car according to schedule. You'll find that there is a lesser chance of unpleasant surprises.
