I came in with an emergency on my vehicle, without an appointment, and Rob Lucas took care of the problem and I had my car back in 3 hours!!! As always the service and interaction with Rob, was excellent. He always bends over backwards to have it repaired and at a reasonable cost.I have used A+ for years, always dealing with Rob and would go nowhere else.

I have a 2012 Chevy Sonic LTZ hatchback and it was in need of a routine oil change. I saw the reviews on A+ and decided to check it out. I made an appointment for 730am and I was a little late because I underestimated the traffic from Daly City. They took me right away and were very friendly in welcoming me. Naeem helped me and took care of everything. He explained the oil change and everything that is included. He answered my every little question and did not appear annoyed. I asked about doing a tune up because I drove my car to South Lake Tahoe in June and I plan to drive it there again in August. I explained that my main concern is SAFETY. He said it's a good idea, but that the car probably does not need it. I must have made a worried face because he said that if I want it done then they can do it. He explained what is included in the tune-up and how it all works. I needed to get to work in San Mateo, so I was shuttled out and the driver/mechanic was really professional and friendly. They also picked me up when my car was ready which was around 12pm. I was sent an email with pictures and they explained that an axel is leaking a little, but that they cleaned it up and should be good to go. They also send a picture of a dirty engine filter. They cleaned it up and suggest that I change it next time and that it's relatively cheap. Naeem explained everything that was done on my car from the brakes to the fluids. The car is in great condition, which is a breath of fresh air! They charged 148$ for the tune up and oil change. I am a happy customer and even though it is out of my way, I will be back! He did not try to sell me anything and he was very knowledgeable.

I have a 2004 Lexus RX330 and used to go to the Lexus service center, but not anymore. I've worked with Justin twice so far and have had a wonderful experience. Justin is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely customer oriented. He takes care of you of and gets you in and out as quickly as possible. I highly recommend A+ Japanese Auto Repair.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I have only gone in for an oil change, so I have no idea what more extensive service is like. But I had a great experience here, from the timeliness to the friendliness to the shuttle to the price to the good explanations of everything. Plus they have a nice online system so you can keep track of appointments and stuff.Do NOT go to Redwood City Honda unless you want to pay people to fix one problem and cause three others in exchange. I'm glad I found these guys.

Wow, I was surprised to see so many poor reviews of A+. I promise that my review is not "fixed" and I sure hope that no one at A+ tries to do any of the things that I read about below or, of course, I too will leave. So far, nothing like these things have happened to me!I just had my speedometer cluster replaced and they did a nice job of figuring out how to accommodate me in the most cost effective way. Hopefully, it will work well. I have been lucky that my repairs have been good, the customer service is the best I have found, and I don't think that they have been pumping up the bill and taking advantage of me. I hope that others will give them a try and see if you have the kind of positive experience that I have had for almost the last 2 years vs. the kinds of experiences written about below. I have found Rob to be very helpful!Pamela

What a nice surprise that Justin at A+ did for me! I went in to get my headlight changed, knowing that I could not make it until my May service with a headlight being out, and they changed it right away between my work meetings! When they were done, I went to pay and they said it was "on them" this time! I can't tell you how nice that was. It made my day.
