I brought the car in for differential oil, spark plugs, air filter, clutch maintenance and brakes. They did a thorough inspection and did the parts that were needed. This is the third time I have brought my 2017 WRX in and so far so good!

WOW. I don't see any Japanese people there but how I was treated as something I experience in Japan. The price was cheaper than the other places.

A+ does great work on your car, but they could tighten up their communication. My initial online appointment wasnt recorded, which was odd since I got a confirmation. Also, by the time the job was done, I had received texts from 4 different #s. That's too many. Again, great service, but needs attention to communication.

Check Engine Light Diagnosed, error code identified, parts replaced, paid $1600, and picked up the car…only to have the check engine light come back on as soon as I started the engine. I was a little frustrated because they told me the problem was fixed. Brought it back, had it re-diagnosed, and later told there is another issue which would cost $700 (after a bit of a discount), and there could be more after that. It’s an older car, but with relatively low mileage for its age (20 year old Lexus sedan with 105k miles). At least this time I was told there are potentially other underlying issues, which could be cost prohibitive. I was told they’d have to partially take apart the engine because “it could be…” I didn’t want to continue this process if they weren’t even sure what the problem was. They seemed to be more diligent the second time, and took a little more care to see if the check engine light issue was fully resolved. Good on them for their second effort. I wish they could have done a more thorough check the first time instead of it seeming so exploratory. Maybe that’s how the problem had to be discovered, but it felt like it was more process of elimination than a targeted solution. I can disconnect and reconnect my battery and get the same results of the check engine light off for a few days. I took the car back $2400 lighter in the pocket, unclear if the two parts replaced may have still been functioning, and with my check engine light still on.

My low mileage 2015 Toyota Prius was overdue for its regular service, and I no longer wanted to take it to the dealer. I read all the positive reviews for A+ Japanese Auto Repair, and I decided to give them a try. Am I glad I did! From the start, everyone I dealt with was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Plus, before actually doing the work, they texted me helpful videos that explained their findings in detail. Im impressed and will definitely be using them from now on.

The people at Japanese Auto Repair were fantastic. I called them on a Monday, made an appointment for Tuesday, and my car was ready by 3 PM on Tuesday. I dropped my car off and they Uber me home and send an Uber driver when the car was ready to be picked up. Everyone there was so helpful and kind. I highly recommend them!!
