I called A+ because I had used them before for my Honda, and wanted to see what a front brake job would cost. They quoted me the labor and Akebono pads for about $260, well less than the $600 at the dealer and my regular shop (he recommended replacing the rotors and getting the pads from the dealer). I dropped off the car at 8:30am and they gave me a ride home. After some back and forth about whether there was enough metal on my rotors to machine them, they got the job done without needing to replace them. Also, because the pads were not the right ones, they even got pads from the dealer for $150 more and ate the difference to keep to their quote and get it done that day. All in all I am very pleased and the brakes seem great.

First time customer and got great service. My 4Runner has a supercharger and it was really taken care of. Runs more quiet than when new. Victor the technician did an outstanding job. Rob the service manager was excellent. I will return, and if you own a Toyota as I do, give them a chance to provide great service like I got.

The "Check Engine" light came on in my 2005 Prius when we were only two miles from A+. When we drove in, Eric immediately diagnosed the problem using error codes on a handheld instrument. Jim arranged to have the part delivered and scheduled the service for the next morning. It was fixed in a few hours. We appreciated the fast, excellent service!

I drive a 2003 Honda Accord with TCS and ABS. When the TCS light came on, I brought it in to the guys at A+. It was the Friday before Labor Day but they squeezed me in. They had to replace the Brake Light Switch but noticed that the ! light was still on. Jim had me drive it for the weekend and bring it back on Tuesday. He ran the codes again and my braking computer had failed. He ordered the part and said he could have my car ready by Wed. When the part didn't come in as expected Jim arranged for a rental car for me so I wouldn't be stranded. By Thursday, all was well with my Honda and I was able to pick her up after work. The guys at A+ are honest and hardworking. They kept me apprised of what was going on with my car, the pros and cons of fixing the part (both this time and the last time I had it in there for the Lower Control Arms) and were willing to wait a few minutes past 5:30 so I could take the train up from work. San Carlos is out of my way but I wouldn't change to a closer mechanic for anything. I love A+ Japanese Auto Repair! Your car is in good hands with Eric, Jim, Ron and their team!

an unpredictable electric problem was why we went in. They worked us in right away. The problem did not surface but we received suggestions about what to do if it does in the future and they were supper clear to talk to. Driver that picked us up was also polite and safe.
