A+ Japanese Auto Repair has become my go-to place whenever I have car woes. They have amazing service and awesome specialists who give clear explanations and don't push unnecessary services on you. I came here once after a scare with my Honda Civic where the brakes stopped working temporarily. They took a thorough look, asked me questions, and concluded that it was a combination of circumstances (mostly my fault) that had heated up the pads to the point where they couldn't get enough friction to stop. Despite that, they said the brake pads were still perfectly functional and there was no need to replace them. I asked about other replacements/filters that another auto shop had suggested - same thing.Shoutout to Naeem, who helped me during my last visit. Super friendly and continually checked in with me about how my car was doing.Some other pluses - they provide rides to and from your work/home so you don't have to wait around at the shop for hours, and they almost always have coupons and discounts going on.

I prepared for the worst when I had our 1999 Landcruiser with 233,000 miles on it, towed to the shop. I called Naeem to let him know that my ABS brake system was shot. He said they would take a look at it first thing Monday morning. It felt like waiting for the Veterinarian to call with the sad news that we would have to put our family pet down. I thought this was it. That it would be more expensive to fix than the car was worth. The news wasn't great. Everything was shot and had to be replaced. When I received the next call, it was even worse news. It looked like it was more extensive than we thought. This was really it. Time to say goodbye. All of our family memories, road trips, and fun times. I said forget it. No not resuscitate. In a very calm and professional manner, Naeem said he would talk to Eric and that he would get back to me ASAP. As time passed, we started to realize that we would have to look for a new SUV. What was actually happening behind the scenes, was that they were trying to figure out how to help us. I know that this must mean that they stuck to the original estimate, and yet went above and beyond on labor and parts. I know that this does not happen at other shops. It just doesn't. They said it would be ready to go yesterday after they tested it, and the new brake system checked out safe and ready to go. As promised, I was billed the original quote and I drove off very happy. This is why I will only take my Landcruiser to A+ Japanese Auto Repair.

Had a mishap involving our Prius' spoiler and the garage door and needless to say, need to get it repaired as packing tape holding the spoiler to the car just wouldn't do. Called A+ and was immediately helped out over the phone, and was able to bring in the car the same day to check out damage to determine minimal parts needed. Scheduled for a few days later when the parts were due to arrive and was given a great loaner vehicle while my car was in the shop. The service advisor called to confirm costs, and give updates multiple times during the day to let me know if they'd be able to get the work done that day, or would need more time to finish. As it turns out, was not a problem to finish same day, and I was back into my vehicle by the afternoon. Excellent service and friendly staff all around, and they really make you feel welcome and part of a family. Definitely recommend and will make sure I only bring my car back here in the future for service and any issues!

Naeem is always courteous and most helpful. He has gone beyond the extra mile for me and my PriusC in finding out what the problem was at no cost under warrantee when Stevens Creek Toyota were wanting $360 + in spite of warrantee. A+ has won my business ever since. Never again will I go to a dealership nor let any of my friends go to a dealership for maintenance. A+ = honest people.

Ugh, I can't believe I haven't done this sooner. I thought for sure I was just about to update my original review. Gah!Wow. Where do I start? Okay. I'll start with Justin. Sure. Probably the most sincere, incredible customer service EVER. I have a very high bar set for this and he has exceeded my expectations every time I call, get Blanca's oil changed, or even if I have a lame question - he's always happy to provide me with detailed answers.Then, at my first oil change, the mechs found a big no-no that was done by the previous place and saved a lot of potential damage to Blanca's engine. I've also had other under-the-hood shenanigans that A+ has been able to help sort out for me. I was never left wondering what was going on, was always given information so I could make an informed decision, and knew how long things would take.A+ and Justin have done nothing short of providing me and my ride the best of care.(Note to A+ business owners: Justin deserves a raise. I'm just sayin'...)

I recently took my Infiniti g35 to A+. One of my best encounters with a mechanic. Naeem was my service representative and he was very good. We had a miscommunication over the phone and which he went above and beyond resolve and take care of my car. Over all the shop seems to be dedicated to quality customer service. I got the summer special check up and they sent a detailed report outlining issues which were found including pictures, severity of the issue, and action recommendations. I will be trusting A+ in the future with my car.
