This the third body shop I've tried in San Carlos and I'll never try another. I've never had a shop tell me so many things i DIDN'T need to do, or explain so clearly the "must do's".The experience is great (thanks, Rob) and the work is fast, but the #1 thing you notice from A+ is the washing away of that creepy feeling of "am I getting taken advantage of here?". We had to have an alternator replaced which they hustled to get back in the hands of my children's-chauffer-service-wife. Every charge was pre-approved and we were overwhelmed by the transparency of the service and the pricing.While I hope to never see Rob again, if there's any way to love your body shop, then A+ is ready to woo you.

Another easy transaction with A+!I was stranded with a non-starting car. I was able to immediately get ahold of A+. They diagnosed my problem quickly and updated me on the status promptly. A+ Japanese Auto repair has to be the most transparent and trustworthy maintenance service in the Bay Area. Your fear always as a consumer is that "am I being taking advantage of?" This is because the majority of folks like me do not know much about cars and maintenance.I worked with Ron, and he did an amazing job educating me on the things that needed to be done to my car. The most impressive item was that I felt no pressure in making a decision to get items fixed. He gave me a timeline on how urgent it was and left it up for me to decide on when and how I wanted them addressed. You definitely can be sure that you are not being taken to the cleaners when doing business with this shop. They are around to build long term relationships with their customers, not a quick sale!

All I can say is, WOW, WOW, WOW! I had Rob help me with an issue I was having regarding my tires and rims. I had gone to Pep Boys down the street and let them know what "I thought" the problem was. To be honest with you, I know nothing about cars and they should of asked me to look at the car instead of telling me, "no we don't do anything with fixing rims." So I left, went on yelp, and called A+ and spoke to Rob. Immediately from when he picked up he was super courteous and listened then gave me options of what I should do and suggested I come in. He greeted me with a warm genuine smile and went out to take a look and said I had a hole in my tire. He looked up prices and gave me an estimate and said I can try to find out if I had a warranty with Pep Boys because I had gotten my tires from them originally. So I left and went back to Pep Boys and was greet by a guy at the desk that said, "what do you need," I was pissed that he said that. They couldn't help me with my warranty because I had the service done in NJ. I called NJ which the lady over the phone was nice but they could not find my records. I could not stand the way I was being treated and the price of a tire that was similar was about 30 dollars more then what Rob estimated for me. Rob initially said to me, "I want to help you regardless if you get the tire with us or them," that was truly was impressive to not try to reel me in right then and there. So I went out and got abused by Pep Boys and came running back to A+ auto because of their true professionalism and their genuine customer service. I am extremely impressed and wish it was like this everywhere but it's not so with that said, I will keep coming back!

He is honest and takes the time to explain the work that is being done and how it affects the total workings of the vehicle. Very systematic honest approach to working on your car. Not there just to take your money. They will advise you on what needs to be done and do not pressure you to take care of items that don't need immediate attention.
Feels good to find a shop that takes good care of the family cars.

This place is so great! I came in yesterday in a rush with a flat tire and Rob helped me right away. He was extremely courteous and friendly and even cut me a great deal. I got my car back within 40 minutes and they even changed my rear brake bulbs for free. I will definitely be coming back here for all my car troubles!!

These guys will tell you the straight up honest truth and they won't try to "gaffle" you out of money, for work that you don't need! I was told by a car dealer that my car needed tires, brakes and a couple other items. The work was going to be quite costly. Before blindly spending, I took my car to A+ to get a second opinion.Justin from A+ provided outstanding customer service! (I can highly recommend Rob, too.)I got tires and an alignment for half of what the dealer was going to charge me for tires alone. And, the brakes that needed to be replaced were at 60% (still good, not time to replace)!!! So, I'll be going back to A+ to do my brakes (when the time is right). We also spaced out the other items. This was much better than paying a ton of money to the dealer all at once.The holidays can get expensive. I appreciate not being overcharged...especially in December! Thank you very much, A+!!!

My husband and I stumbled on this shop about a year ago when our car broke down. Our car needed it's engine replaced and while they weren't the best price quoted from the 6-7 shops we looked into, it was clear from very early on that their costumer service would be superior to their competitors. Since then, we've become loyal clients for everything related to our car.Their repairs are timely and their staff is very communicative, eager and willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have about your car, their service, or parts.Justin, our primary point of contact is friendly and professional, efficient, and considerate.Growing up, I was taught that it's good to make friends with your butcher and your mechanic.
