On Christmas even(Dec. 24, 2014) I had major problems with the electrical system on my Honda Accord. Every shop was closed. Finally I found A+ at 1:00 in the afternoon. I was amazed to find Justin Mills who was a service manager at a majordealership. Within seconds of describing the problem Justin immediately knew what the problem was. "Wait a minute, I think I can get the part". He called, the part was available, it took about an hour for the part to arrive, and by 2:30 the car was ready and the problem was solved. On Christmas eve! All at the mosr reasonable price. I have known Justin for years and find him to be the most competent, helpful, professional and courteous service manager. A+ gets an A+. Thanks Justin, you are terrific. Keep it up!

I have continued using A-1 Japanese Auto since my last review in 2012 and have never been disappointed. Keep up the good work guys - I will be back.

Honest, thorough, professional, and courteous are the words that immediately come to mind when I consider the service I had performed yesterday on my 2010 CX-9 at 50,000 miles. I came here after feeling like the dealership was trying to sell me extra things on every visit. I was surprised in that a couple of hours after I dropped off the car, I received photos of things they were working on - it enabled me to track the key items that were being ID'd as possible problems, and it documented their analysis of the car. Very cool. At the end of the day, the prices were also super reasonable - be sure to grab the Yelp deal before you go. I have now found my go-to shop for my Mazda. Happy New Year to A+.

Very courteous staff. Honest over the phone when quoting estimates and procedure. Had them diagnose and fix a reverse light issue that I might have spent unnecessarily. Had shuttles to drive me to nearby Starbucks/ best buy while I wait and pick up after. Took a little longer than expected to find problem but glad they were thorough and solved it easily. Stayed true to quoted price though they could've charged me more for labor in extra time diagnosing. Great customer service, and worth the extra driving to find trustworthy mechanics and reasonable rates. Also informed me of other issues that needed attention and offered deals when I want to bring vehicle back for service. If you have a Japanese vehicle and don't want to search high and low for a reputable auto repair, call and set up a visit!:)

Just had a used car inspected, but was very impressed with the customer service. They answered all my questions and explained everything clearly including all my options. I appreciated that they took photos of the car parts of concern and emailed them to me as well.A nice bonus service feature is the shop includes a ride to and from some place during the time the car is being serviced. Also nice was $50 yelp discount offer. :^) Would use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to get their Japanese car serviced.

I have one person i go to here and it is JUSTIN MILLS! he is amazing in more ways then one. Safety is his first and most important priority. I have been working with Justin for more then 10 years and love his work. A+ gives great rates and will even drop you off at a location near by when you drop your car off. Justin is very humble and will get the job done right and quickly as possible. I would highly recommend this Auto Repair place and just ask for Justin, he will bring you under his wing.

This the third body shop I've tried in San Carlos and I'll never try another. I've never had a shop tell me so many things i DIDN'T need to do, or explain so clearly the "must do's".The experience is great (thanks, Rob) and the work is fast, but the #1 thing you notice from A+ is the washing away of that creepy feeling of "am I getting taken advantage of here?". We had to have an alternator replaced which they hustled to get back in the hands of my children's-chauffer-service-wife. Every charge was pre-approved and we were overwhelmed by the transparency of the service and the pricing.While I hope to never see Rob again, if there's any way to love your body shop, then A+ is ready to woo you.

Another easy transaction with A+!I was stranded with a non-starting car. I was able to immediately get ahold of A+. They diagnosed my problem quickly and updated me on the status promptly. I was informed of the repair options, and felt no pressure in choosing the right one for me. I will continue to bring all my vehicles here for repair. THANKS GUYS!

A+ Japanese Auto repair has to be the most transparent and trustworthy maintenance service in the Bay Area. Your fear always as a consumer is that "am I being taking advantage of?" This is because the majority of folks like me do not know much about cars and maintenance.I worked with Ron, and he did an amazing job educating me on the things that needed to be done to my car. The most impressive item was that I felt no pressure in making a decision to get items fixed. He gave me a timeline on how urgent it was and left it up for me to decide on when and how I wanted them addressed. You definitely can be sure that you are not being taken to the cleaners when doing business with this shop. They are around to build long term relationships with their customers, not a quick sale!
