They're attention to the car is impressive. I didn't notice anything wrong with my steering or suspension. They did and I was thrilled driving home, it was like a brand new car. I had to wait a few days for them to get the parts and being from the east bay, they worked with me so that I didn't have to skip too many beats between work and home. They were very understanding and I'm glad my car was under their highly capable hands. Thanks to everyone who worked on my car. See you in a few months!

Took my car here after discovering there was coolant leaking from my radiator. I was helped by Rob. He was friendly and courteous and it seemed he gave us a very fair price on the part that needed to be replaced (the radiator) and the work that needed to be done. The car was ready when it was supposed to be and communication was clear all throughout the repair process. In short, A+ was easy to work with and we would definitely return! Thanks!!

Sandy, thank you for choosing A+ Japanese Auto Repair for your auto repair and service. We value your business and looking forward to helping with any auto repair or service needs you may have in the future.

Quality work. Fantastic Customer Service. Tremendous Value. My wife and I have been taking our cars here for many years and we have been very happy with the quality of their work, the fantastic customer service, and the value of their pro-active preventative maintenance on our cars. We have Japanese cars -- an '06 IS350, a '96 LX450, a '07 Camry Hybrid, and now a '12 Highlander Limited -- and they service each and every one of our cars. As you can imagine, we have a rather large statistical sample of experience with this shop. A quick differentiating moment worth sharing that captures the "WOW" culture at the shop... one time I needed a minor part (a screw) for the roof rack on my '96 LX450. My family was just about to head up the mountain for a ski trip in Tahoe and I realized my rook rack was missing a screw to hold the bar in-place. Eric, one of the Owners who coincidentally owns a '96 'Cruiser himself, offered me the screw directly from the rack on his car! Another time, the mechanism for the passenger seat in my LX broke and, after seeing how expensive it would be to replace it, Rob researched and found a used replacement part from a nearby salvage yard which saved me a significant amount of money. A few years later, the seat is still working just fine. Our other cars are later model cars and A+ handles all the routine scheduled maintenance without issue. Yes, there have been times when they have recommended additional maintenance -- especially for my older '96 LX -- but we actually appreciate that they do this and especially the manner in which they do it. They will let us know whether certain things are imperative for safety while others could be monitored and addressed in the future. One of the items, the Birfield joints on my LX, I decided to defer and the joints ended up leaking a significant amount of grease two years later. When this happened, A+ came and picked up my car right away just before I left on an international trip. Once the repair was completed, they returned the car back to my home and dropped the keys in the mail slot. Lastly, my wife and I are both busy professionals and we highly value their constant communication, emailed pictures, and their pick-up/drop-off service. It is a huge time-saver for us and we can't imagine having it any other way. While I know others may not need or appreciate these extra service items, or may only want to find the cheapest repair available, we are OK with paying a slight premium for quality work and service. That is, cost is only an issue in the absence of value... and A+ delivers tremendous value for their customers.

A+ Japanese Auto Repair in San Carlos saved my family's trip up to Tahoe - twice! Their quality service, expertise and overall value also minimized the impact on my outside sales job! I originally came across them about a year ago when I needed a simple side-view mirror repair on my Acura MDX. Rob was so helpful with searching for and ordering the part, I knew where I'd be heading the next time I had an actual mechanical issue;-)That opportunity came when multiple lights came on! I called A+ and they told me to head on over. Turns out I needed new oxygen sensors, among other minor repairs! They got me fixed up in no time, but the check engine light came on a few days later... I called, they had me come in right away... As soon as I pulled in, the service manager came out to run tests. The oxygen sensors needed to be re-calibrated. Without hesitation, they hooked me up with a rental car at no cost (through Drop and Go Auto?)! We transferred my work materials, car seats, and voila! They got the OS work done right on time for my trip! Really, there's no other place that I'll trust at this point to keep my car in check and my family safe.

Paige, thank you for the positive feedback on our customer service and shop expertise when working with your Acura MDX! We really value your business and wish you safe travels on your Tahoe trip. Happy new year!

I love A+ Japanese Auto Repair. They are thorough in their examination of my car and they are reliable as well. I feel totally confident that my car will be fixed and the prices will be fair. The fact that they can pick you up and/or deliver back to your home or work is a big factor in how good they are.

Took my 97 4runner in for regular service since I'm going to be putting a lot of miles on for the holidays. Basic service was $140, they recommended a some other adjustments (deglazing a couple of the rotors, etc), and warned me about a couple of leaks. I got this car from family that neglected it so I wasn't too surprised that it had a collection of small issues, and I'm certain 2 trips in playa dust really didn't help. The coolest feature of A+ is that they emailed titled pictures of the things they found. Some of it I knew about, some of the leaks were new to me, but man it could use an undercarriage wash! I would take a star off for not looking at my car the same day I dropped it off, but they made sure that I wouldn't be stranded, and the photos they sent of the problem areas makes me feel confident in their recommendations. Bonuses: they washed the car (it was really obvious) and Justin was easy to work with.
