San Carlos Auto Repair

I've always taken my car to the dealer where I bought it, for service, assuming they know all about my car. At my last routine service, I asked them to take a look at my front shocks. They said there was no leakage and didn't see anything wrong, but my Mazda wasn't handling the curves with construction-bumps on Hwy 17 as well as it used to. A relative of mine highly recommended A+ and although it was a bit of a drive from Santa Cruz, I need someone I could trust who would do the work right. During the initial inspection, I mentioned I recently had the thermostat replaced. Although I had brought the car in for shocks, they took the time to look under the hood at the newly installed thermostat. Man am I glad they did! I could clearly see it was leaking antifreeze! The dealer hadn't bothered to replace the 10 cent hose clamps when they installed my new $200 thermostat! How cheap & potentially damaging to my car. A+ has professional, friendly & knowledgeable staff who are genuinely concerned for their customers & their cars. No more dealer-service for my car. Count me as another loyal A+ customer!

It was such an easy experience to work with A+. They picked up my car and dropped it back off at work for me, it only took 5 minutes out of my day. I feel like the prices are somewhere in the middle between the cheeapest repair/oil changers and the dealers. I just got some maintenance service taken care of here and I would definitely go back again, especially with their pickup and dropoff service.

This place was very helpful in what needed to be done and gave me a great deal. They were also very specific on what the problems were, and I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off while having unnecessary work done. I wish this place were closer to my location, as it's hard to find a good place. I believe Justin was the one who helped me.

This was my 3rd visit to A+Japanese and as always it was a good experience; friendly, honest, and thorough. When I leave I feel secure that my car is safe and sound. I love the photos and comments on my email. It helps me to understand any problems that have occurred. Everything is explained, as to work needed by a personal phone call. Shuttle service is a plus when no ride is available. I would recommend A+Japanese without hesitation.

Got a flat tire when I was around the area. so looked up the closest place open at 730 in the morning and found this place. They were really quick and polite and made the process as stress-free as possible.

Great service, super easy to deal with. I worked with Justin who helped diagnose my car's electrical problem and had everything tested both before and after the fix to make sure they were getting it correct. Justin was very friendly and kept me fully up to date on estimates/prices.

Great customer service and rapport. Everyone seems like they have built cars as a hobby and they inform the customer with as little or as much knowledgeable professional technical details as the customer can handle.

I truly enjoy the customer service provided at A+. It truly is A+. I feel like it's pretty rare to be treated as though I were buying some luxury item, instead of taking my car in for an oil change.It is 100% memorable experience.....for the positive!!!!
