Kory, the Service Manager, took the utmost care in scheduling my car for an appointment yesterday morning despite that I wasn't on the service docket (I thought I was)!And, I didn't think to check my phone and saw later in the afternoon that he'd called twice to tell me that my car was ready to be picked up. He had to scramble at 4:30 PM to get one of his drivers to collect me. I am sorry that I put him through this unnecessary exercise. Thanks to Kory and the wonderful team at A+ Japanese Auto! They are THE BEST!

From the moment I stepped into the office, I already felt welcomed. Ron was exceptional. His excellent customer service and knowledge made me feel comfortable from the start. He did what never has been done for me in my life. I have owned a cars for approx 40 years, and never has a place brought me to the car to tell me exactly what was being done. He needs to be commended for the many traits that he has that will keep you company in business. Thank you Ron!!!

I got an inspection from A+ which was reasonably priced.The inspection was very thorough, customer service was excellent, and I got to see pictures online of problems. I didn't get the repairs done at A+ because they are fairly expensive though.

This place was recommended to me by friends. We've used them for the past 2 years for our cars and always been happy with the service. They're responsive, honest and very customer-oriented. But my last experience with them was the most telling. This weekend, I broke my tail light. I called the Honda dealership because I thought it would be faster for them to have the part and replace it and I knew their shuttle would get me to my office (I had just been there the week before for a recall). Mistake. They said it would take a week to get the part from Iowa! A week? Then they said the part was in stock in another Honda dealership and I should call them. So I did. And it wasn't. They also quoted me a week to get the part. So I called A+ Japanese. Kory said they don't carry parts in stock, but would research it and call me back. Within 10mn, I had a voicemail saying that they would have the part by noon and their shuttle could take me to my office. They didn't want to waste my time so they called me exactly when it came in. I drove there and they replaced it during their lunch hour and I was out of there in less than 45mn. A+ Japanese located a Honda part faster than 2 Honda dealerships (and for less $). 3hrs vs. 1 week. Impressive!

Treated very kindly, and timely, Got a ride to work, and an offer to be picked up. Was called with estimate for work that needed to be done same day. Parts needed to be ordered so I am scheduled to come back.

I have been using A+ for more than 3 years now and have found them to be fair, knowledgable and professional. My 9 year old car is in top condition thanks to them. The other reviewers do a great job describing this business, employees and owners. You will not be disappointed.

5/18/2011 UPDATEOK, the very next morning, after I posted the review on 5/16/11, Rob phoned me at 7:30 AM to apologize for the poor service the day before. He went out of his way to find replacement parts and provide a reasonable price for all the repairs and tire replacements. I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars to reflect the great service I got the next day. I will update again after I get my car back.5/16/2011 I seem to get the same excuse for poor service every time I go here. "I'm on my own today, the other guy is out sick." I fell for it the first couple of times but when Rob pulled that crap again today I should have just left. Rob has a great personality and when you finally do get his attention he is a clear and cheerful communicator. I think they do a great job on my car and that their prices are fair. But I am truly pissed off that NO ONE got back to me today to tell me what is wrong with my car and how much it will cost. So I am basically without a ride and have no idea for how long.That sucks.

This is a special mention for the terrific care that Rob provided my Mom & her friend, who were on a road trip and passing through the Bay Area in April. They needed an oil change on their VW Jetta so I called Rob, inquiring about a garage that could do an oil change on a European car model. He actually suggested we bring the Jetta in and they could help. And they did!
