Naeem went above and beyond in customer service! He took the time to explain different options, but never forced his opinion. He was also willing to do some minor additional work without extra charge. Actual job was also done very well. I'd go again.

Great customer service. You could probably do it cheaper if you really wanted to, but if you want to get it done without hassles and with a warranty -- this place makes sense for you.

Hello Jerome! Making your experience hassle-free is always our goal! Using Factory Mazda parts for the repairs can increase the cost a bit, but is usually worth the expense in most cases. Quality of the repair is incredibly important, and knowing we back our work with a 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty gives great peace of mind! I look forward to working with you again next time.Your Service Advisor, Justin Mills 650-595-2277 aplusjapaneseautorepair.

Great Service, I have a 1987 Toyota Van Wagon that I am slowly restoring and Justin gave it the same attention as our 2012 Lexus, the Van is mid engine and many mechanics have said no. A+ fixed the air conditioning on the van, something I have tried with 3 other mechanics! They are open Saturday which makes pick up a breeze! They have many resources beyond their services as well, for instance I was able to get bent Lexus rims repaired at same time I bought tires, most shops send you to wheel repair on your own and then you have to bring it back for the tires, so this was great as one trip for me and it came back with all the issues dealt with. The prices are affordable, they warranty their work unlike other mechanics I have been to. Prices are cheaper compared to dealers and San Francisco shops I have been using up to now. Great responsiveness to questions and sensitivity to checking in when bill starts going up, this is a big one for me as I often have felt pressured to do work all at once that I can't afford, this way my check list gets done in a timely way that I can manage to pay for.4 visits so far and all excellent experience! Also the people working here seem happy at their jobs....this was never the case with SF mechanics over 30 years of many cars.

Thank you, Matt, for allowing us to help with both your classic Van, and your new Lexus. I truly believe, where there is a will, there's a way! We will always try to help in every way possible, to keep you happy, and your vehicles running well! Thank you for allowing us to help you; I look forward to working with you for years to come! - Justin Mills 650-595-2277 aplusjapaneseautorepair.

Great service, took me right away, found and fixed the problem and had car back by 2pm after dropping off at 9am. They even arranged a ride to come pick up the car. Excellent experience dealing with A+ Japanese Auto.

I have never been so blown away by a business's focus on customer service, which is particularly notable in this industry. No joke, these folks provided the single best customer experience I've ever had -- and they didn't even get any money from the repair. I've now switched to them for every non-warranty repair and maintenance for our vehicles based on the experience I had there last week. Details below. In sum, though... wow. Just wow. I took my car in because the check engine light was on and it has lost power. The car was under warranty, but the dealership had quoted me two weeks just to get it in the queue to run diagnostics. It ended up that the repair was sufficiently expensive that I took it to the dealer anyway (because it was under warranty), but what happened at A+ Japanese Auto Repair was astounding. Everyone there was helpful, but for reference, my point of contact was Justin, who simply did everything he possibly could to make having a car problem a less-crappy experience.1) They ran the diagnostics immediately and told me what was going on.2) They told me it wasn't worth having them do the work because I could get it done under warranty. No games, totally straight-forward.3) They arranged a tow to the dealership, coordinating with my insurance carrier to get that covered. 4) They offered to get me home, no charge.5) They relentlessly pressed the dealership's service department to get it done faster, calling multiple times a day, and then calling me to update me on the progress.6) They arranged a deeply discounted rate on a rental car for me.7) After every step was done, they called to update me.Remember, they made no money on this -- zero dollars. And they even would have lost money had I needed to take them up on the ride home. Absolutely amazing team there. Justin, again, was my primary point of contact, but I talked to a few other folks and every single one of them left the impression that they 100% had my back. Amazing.

Benjamin, thank you for taking the time to write such a glowing review. Please know you will always receive that level of service when working with A+ Japanese. We take a lot of pride in making sure you receive the best service experience, regardless of the circumstances! I look forward to working with you with all of your vehicles, for years to come! I took my car in to have transmission replaced. The folks were really nice, and they gave me a rental for the duration of the repair, which was great. They also called me everyday with an update, which shows they are very organized, and value communication. But when I picked up the car 3 days later, it had a flat tire. I guess someone hit the curb pretty hard and the side of a tire ripped. I couldn't tell when that happened because I found out after I drove it off the lot. But when I called them they tolled the car back, had the tires replaced over the weekend, and gave me a rental to use. Which was great, because I wasn't left stranded. So when the tires were replaced, I went back to pick up the car again. This time my key's battery was completely dead, the beep beep buttons wouldn't work any more. They replaced the battery immediately, which was great. So in summary, the service was great, the rental was great, the people are very courteous and nice, but it seemed like unfortunate events just kept happening. They did fix everything though.

This is how servicing and repair should be done. After inspection, you get a photo report with recommendations and accurate estimates, and you choose what to have done. Very professional, highly recommended.

To say A+ went above and beyond would do them a great disservice, Rob took on my unusual hybrid car needs after several other mechanics flat out refused the challenge. Rob sourced parts, brought in outside expertise and kept in contact with me during the entire process. He was professional and human throughout. This is a man and business you can trust, a rare quality in the car repair world. Needless to say A+ has earned a customer for life, and I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Rob and the whole A+ team!

Long delay in writing this, but I got my car suspension, break fluid and ventilation updated. Around $900. I happened to choose the one day in the entire week that all the heavens let loose, but managed to get to work within half an hour thanks to the Uber service. I then proceeded to leave my cell phone in the Uber car. Contacted, A+ again, they got in contact with the driver, and he returned my phone (and proceeded to not-so-subtlety push me to give him a $20 inconvenience fee, but that's a story involving Uber...not that big of a fun, not the place here...). Anyways again Rob was professional, courteous and cheerful. The only thing seems to be the 5:00 closing time is pretty hard, though I managed to get my car back in time.Anyways they also replaced my hubcap as they had offered to do so above. That was really nice. The people who work there are quite professional, drive the car straight to you, offer coffee when they see you waiting, watch for incoming vehicles while you attempt to pull out. Very impressive service.

Wayne H Response: We work for You!. I personally appreciate that you understand how we care about our clients and our clients vehicles. You had great questions about the findings and recommended repairs. I find that is awesome that you are as interested about your vehicle as we are. I will contact you when your hub cap arrives.
