This place is amazing! The entire shop is geared towards enhancing their customers' car repair experience. It's like they studied the car repair market, and everywhere where they found a deficiency, they analyzed what would be the right thing to do, and designed their business around that philosophy! No wonder they are such a success!I had my car towed to A Plus Japanese, because of the glowing reviews I had read on Yelp! I worked with Justin, a personable man, who I felt had my best interest at heart. And true to what I had read in Yelp, he proved to be very honest, thorough, and such a pleasure to deal with, even considering my financial situation at the time, and making adjustments as a courtesy. He also had my oil topped off, at no extra cost.It turned out that the problem with my car was that the neutral switch needed to be replaced, a simple and inexpensive fix. Justin also recommended that a future de-carb job be done, as my car has 350,000 miles on it...a lot of carbon build up to get rid of!Because of Justin's honesty and kindness, I plan on bringing my car back to A Plus, for the next phase of its journey back to health!So, Thank you Justin and A Plus Japanese for everything you did in not only getting me and my car happily back on the road again, but most of all, for restoring my trust in the commercial car repair business! You truly are A Plus in my book!

Fantastic service! Toyota Sunnyvale wanted $3500 for transmission rack replacement on an old 2002 Toyota Prius. A+ Japanese offered to replace with a used transmission rack for $1300 with warranty for both parts and labor for 6 months (awesome!). When we finally dropped off the car, A+ Japanese quickly found that the problem was a loose electrical connector which they promptly secured. Total bill? $100Toyota Sunnyvale wanted $3500!!!!!

I have ALWAYS taken my car to the dealership to have services preformed, but not any more!!!! I found my long lost service advisor and VERY TRUSTWORTHY Justin Mills who was once my service adviser at the dealership. I used to deal with him when I had a different car, but I had got a new Mazda CX-9 back in 2011. Justin didn't deal with Mazda at the time so sadly I was no longer able to go to him and to top it off I finally have a good quality reliable car! Now that my car is almost at 100,000 miles little things here and there are starting to need some attention. When I called the dealership to have my drivers side window repaired they quoted me DOUBLE what I paid at A+ Japanese Auto Repair. When I had my car in for an oil change at the dealership they said I needed to have my 90K service done and quoted me over $1,000+!!! After talking to Justin he told me that they will first inspect my can and see what really needs to be done and go from there; not shoving everything down my throat saying it all has to be done and it's going to cost me half a house payment! I know that this review may seem a bit rambling but I can tell you this Justin Mills and A+ Japanese Auto Repair took really good care of me and seem like good people with integrity. As far as I'm concerned will have all my future business from here on out! If you're a dealership service person like I used to be run away and give this place a try I can assure you you'll save money and deal with much more pleasant service advisors Like Justin and the other gentlemen in the office!!!

I took my 05 honda odyssey in for some service. They did a full check, they are very thorough and they take the time to explain everything to you. I dealt with Justin and he and everybody else there are very nice. I would definitely recommend this shop to anybody.

In the past 25 years, I have only taken my car to the services department run by the local dealership for maintenance and repairs. I wanted to make sure that my car received the best service and that the warranty wouldn't be invalidated.When I took my SUV in for its latest service, the service advisor told me that I also needed my brake pads changed. The estimate he provided was around $1200. My husband decided to call around and found this place.Rob took the call right away, and told my hubby that he won't be able to give an estimate until he looked at the car. And that they might or might not be able to service it on the same day due to pre-scheduled work. I liked the fact that he was honest, instead of doing a bait and switch.Turned out that they were able to accommodate us that very same day. Provided the same service plus more (flushing the brake fluids too) for 1/4 less than what the dealership service department quoted me. And the warranty for the work performed was 2 years / 24K miles, twice what the dealership provided.Everyone there seemed really nice, especially our service advisor. I enquired about the oil service and they do the same at 1/2 the cost. I think this is going to be my new go-to place from now on.

Friends don't let friends take their cars to the dealership for a reason. We have the right tools (part's and techs) to get the job done at a fair price. Wow! The Yelp reviews are on-the-mark for this business. Had never heard of A+ but after seeing the reviews on Yelp I gave them a call when a mystery light stayed on in my dashboard and I was quoted repairs of several hundred $$'s by the dealer. I'd put off finding a local repair shop but knew it was finally time. The experience with A+ beginning with my first call was such a positive contrast to my experience with the dealer that I wondered if it was too good to be true. But Justin was terrific consistently through my entire repair experience. To start, he talked me through his recommendations and since it was a Friday and I had planned to drive my vehicle to the mountains the next day, he arranged for a loaner vehicle I could use. At no cost to me! The diagnostic process this shop uses is incredibly thorough and I appreciated having a soft-copy of the results sent to me that I could review on my own. Justin spend lots of time talking me through each finding and didn't push more repairs than I was prepared to make (and there are lots to be made that will have to wait until a later date). The shop was thorough, on-time and costs were less than what I've been quoted at the dealers along with a warranty. Justin even extended my loaner car for one additional day until the repairs could be completed. Really unbelievable. You bet I'll be returning with the rest of our cars when the time comes. on my 2010 Honda Civic. This was my first experience going to an auto repair shop. I was worried about all those stereotypes where auto shops try to sell you things that you don’t need to make a quick buck….. That does not happen at A+ Japanese Auto Repair.
I want to thank my service consultant Naeem and Alex for making my experience personable, because they were straight to the point by clearly communicating what my car needed. Naheem was professional in many ways: his demeanor, his appearance, his service, and organization of knowing what my automobile needs were as I checked in. While my car was at the shop, Naeem emailed me pictures of my car through out the process so I was never left wondering what was going on with my car.
I brought my car in last minute like many other people, three days before Christmas. Even though the shop was clearly busy, A+ Japanese auto’s customer service was still top notch. Even though I requested an extra service, I had my car back in a speedy manner. I have to toss this out there… I was impressed to see the shop owner (I recognized him from their website) in the street with a stop sign so his mechanics could back cars into the shop. It’s great seeing owners work with their team instead of locking themselves in their office all day.
When I picked up my car, it was sparkling clean and full of small touches. My interior was vacuumed and everything was where I left it. It put a smile on my face when I saw that they refilled my squash-scented air freshener! Overall I couldn’t be happier with A+ Japanese auto repair! My car is at 45,000 miles and I know where I will go for regular service and when I need to do my 60,000 mile major service. If you need anything regarding auto repair, I would check with A+ Japanese auto repair first. If you’re still on the fence… just give them a call and I’m sure they will welcome you and give you the answers you need to help you with your decision. We brought our Prius in for a minor service, and they found an oil leak. They said they may have to keep the car overnight and get the part the next day. We told them that we planned to leave on vacation the next day. They rushed the part and the service, got it done that day, and we were on our way! To top it off, they also got my wife a rental car for the day! Wow, that is service!
