Thanks A+ for the winter service special; with your pick up service, I had a full day of work without inconvenience. When I picked up my freshly washed car, it rode smoothly and the new wiper blades do a perfect job. Rotating the tires has me thinking of a nice ride to Tahoe in the new year!

Holy Crap! These guys are awesome! They take the time to explain everything. Super professional, ridiculous service, and vaporize other mechanic shops like Jiffy Lube, Midas, Pep Boys, etc etc. If you're looking for super cheapo, then you should just drive your car into a wall or off a cliff because you will ultimately get the same result by going to some wack job mechanic. Many will not understand the value these guys bring for the very reasonable price you pay. Why go to another place where they scam you or take advantage of you? A+ man. No lie here.

These guys give amazing service, good communication and from my experience, top quality work. They're not the cheapest in town, but the price matches the professionalism with which they do their work, which can't be said for other high-end mechanics on the peninsula. these guys are the real deal, and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Simon, We totally enjoy being able to perform auto repair on your Subaru! Thank you for taking your time to write a review for us, each one means a lot. Happy Holidays~!Eric Sevim - aplusjapaneseautorepair.…Shop Manager

Eric, as is true for everyone at A+, is friendly, attentive, professional and customer oriented. We discussed when I needed to replace tires on my 2011 Infiniti, explored three options, then chose one. My car was ready within a few hours, tested, fluids checked and even the wheels cleaned. Then Rob reminded me that the tires may have coatings that could make them slippery for the first 5-10 minutes, and how to manage them. Given that it was raining, it's one more example of how A+ consistently thinks about our experience and needs. Truly first class.

I took my Honda to A+ Japanese Auto Repair this past weekend for the first time and was very satisfied with them. I have been looking for a mechanic I could trust, and now I feel I have found one. Eight months ago, another mechanic told me that I needed new brake pads, which I thought seemed strange, so I didn't have the work done. A+ Japanese Auto said my brake pads are fine. Also, they provide a shuttle service.

My car was making weird noises during my commute. It was raining, my car was struggling, and I just knew something was wrong. I didn't want to wait until the inevitable car breakdown, so I turned to Yelp to find an auto repair place close by. I decided to call A+ and was greeted by the owner. I knew the shop was closed and swamped with work, but he was genuinely concerned and agreed to take a look at my car if I could get there in less than 15 minutes. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. And not once did they treat me like a dumb girl who didn't know anything about cars. He explained to me what he believed what was wrong with my car and even took the time to call my dad (who is also a mechanic, but lives all the way in SoCal). Although they weren't able to fully fix the problem, they were very helpful in identifying the problems with my car and explained to my dad what he could do to fix it. They topped off my fluids and sent me on my way. Not only were they very responsive and friendly, they also did not charge me for anything. Great guys!

If you are looking for a place to bring your auto for repair look no further. These guys are up front about what they are doing and what they find when working on your car. They even e-mail you photos of the things they find so you can see the work in progress, how cool is that. I will be going back when I need service work done and have already recommended A+ to friends. Places like this I am more then happy to support.

I own an aging Honda Prelude 1992 that is approaching 255,000 miles on the odometer. Even though my auto receives regular and outstanding TLC maintenance from A+ Japanese Auto Repair, "parts is parts" and they tend to wear out. I experienced such as event when I was parked in the lot at my local San Carlos bank and the car refused to start. After several attempts, I called A+, spoke to Adam, one of the two wonderful owners and he talked me through several tests. We agreed that I would complete my errands on foot and retest the car. The car was still "uncooperative" and Rob, the very competent and knowledgeable Service Manager, promptly sent out one his crew with a battery charger to test my vehicle. It wasn't the battery, and the wonderful crew member (forgot his name!) told me to place the key under the mat, close the door, and drove me home. All of this excellent service occurred on a late Friday afternoon!!
