My car's (Mazda3 2010) transmission light came on. The Mazda dealership said they do not have the parts and cannot repair my car right now. It needed an electronic module which was backordered (#chip_shortage). The car was not useable at this point. It wasn't safe to drive. I then took it to A+ Japanese. They offered to keep my car in their garage until the part becomes available. They then ordered the part which took 3.5 months to deliver. The most amazing part is that they did not charge me a dime until my car was fixed. They basically shielded me from all that mazda nonsense.

Huge thank you to the A+ team. They were fast, honest and left my vehicle running like new. I loved the emailed vehicle report with photos of areas that repairs were needed. While I doubt I will need to be back back anytime soon with the great care and service the A+ team provided, it is great to know that they are just a phone call away.

Live locally place is always packed. Took my 91 CRX Si to have some electrical diagnosis. Ace went above my expectations for quality quick service. Usually shops I go to need 1-2 weeks for my issues. I know enough to fix quick things. But connecting circuits that burned up under the fuse box & fuses. I never would have checked, and continued to spend money at other shops. Now I’m driving my dream Tahitian Green CRX Si with no problems Sacramento to San Francisco. All thanks to Ace & A+Crew.

Took my car in for an oil change and a safety inspection. Got a nice 27 page inspection report with pictures. My service advisor, Ace, followed up with a phone call explaining what my car needs. We settled on doing the oil change, rear brakes, brake fluid and power steering fluid exchange and spark plugs. I received a call later that afternoon letting me know they had discovered an oil leak in the tube seals. I was told he was working on an estimate for that repair. I had to call in on Saturday to get the details of the estimate. The person I spoke to on Saturday never relayed the information to Ace that I wanted to proceed with the repair. I was called on Monday letting me know that the tube seals were on back order and that my power steering fluid was low, that was information I should have been given on day on day one. Now they have to find a power steering fluid leak. I instructed them to put the car back together and that I would deal with the unfinished repairs later. That was at 9 am. I called at 1 pm to see when my car would be ready for pick up. I was told that the technician was looking for the power steering leak. I said just put my car back together and I will deal with it later, for a second time. When I went to pick up the car it was missing a hubcap. I was told a replacement would be ordered so that hopefully I could pick it up before Wednesday. As of this evening, Ace has not called me back to let me know the status of the hubcap. Communication has been really bad, the repairs were overpriced and losing the hubcap was just irresponsible. The competency of the shop is questionable in my mind at this time and I won’t be returning. Update: Eric the owner called me this morning and spent a fair amount of time on the phone with me to better understand the issues with my repairs. After our conversation, he did offer me a partial refund on my repair bill. It is refreshing to see a business owner concerned about the right thing. The staff is still a little shaky but I think the owner will be addressing that and my upgraded rating is based solely on Eric’s actions today.
