This shop did an exceptional job on my vehicle today. Justin helped me this morning to perform a transmission fluid change. He was very professional and made me feel welcome. The service was done quickly, they told me the condition of the original fluid, when I should service it again for preventative maintenance, and the price for the service was very reasonable. Generally speaking I avoid taking my cars into a shop, in this case I'm very glad that I took the car in. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I had a real potentially disastrous problem with my Mazda CX-7. Living in the east bay, I had a difficult time finding a non-dealer Mazda specialist. Based on reading reviews of Bay Area Japanese auto repair shops, A+ Japanese Auto Repair had stellar reviews. I took a flying leap of faith that the 90 minute distance to get there for my repair was going to be worth the effort. It absolutely was! They were stellar with detailed communication from the initial consult through the mid point, and upon return to pick up the vehicle. In addition, the post repair follow up has been outstanding and beyond expectations for auto repair shop. I highly recommend A+ Japanese Auto Repair.

A+ has been upfront and honest about the work they perform or need to. I know much more than most about the state of my vehicle so I have confidence when I decline service for something. Without that, I know they can be expensive but they do great work and for me they know my car well and even own it themselves. Also they are very accommodating when something comes up that needs immediate attention. Great bunch of guys.

There is always a bit of anxiety when you are bringing your car to a new auto shop. My husband is VERY THOROUGH when researching things, but we were still uneasy. That uneasiness disappeared the second we walked in the door!! We had the pleasure of dealing with Jason and we will continue to bring our 2 Acuras to Jason & A+ Japanese Auto!!!! Jason was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and NEVER made us feel rushed ... we tend to ask a lot of questions. He explained everything in detail and he made sure we understood. We LOVED their completed and very comprehensive report on our car. We bought the car used a few weeks ago and unfortunately did not have a maintenance history. Jason explained each item on the report and what it meant for us. We never felt like services were being pushed on us and we felt the quote we received was VERY reasonable. We were also pleased with the time line we were given for the completion of services. We got a call from Jason right around the time he said he would call. My husband was extremely pleased with how the car felt and sounded as we drove home. We have NO hesitation in recommending A+ Japanese Auto Repair!!!!!

Justin needs a raise - he’s just too competent and gentlemanly to keep him at what I am sure are wages he feels are too low. (Ha ha) As usual honest auto advice, my car is safe, service is excellent, and we will be back.

I use A+ for a Lexus SUV and an Acura MDX for the past 4 years. They do good work, give detailed explanations for what work is needed and when it will be completed.

Always amazing. I would never go anywhere else. Please try them at least once and let them show you how an auto repair shop experience should be!

They'll charge the hell out of you and list things like "Removed hub assemblies, thoroughly inspected and cleaned hub assemblies," for something as simply as changing wheel bearings. My dad brought his 2007 Nissan into them and ran up $5000 worth of repairs for a 10 year old car in just a few months. Wouldn't trust these guys with my wallet.
