We live on the peninsula and been taking our Nissan Altima and Infinity G35 to A + Japanese for years. These folks always show integrity, high quality work and let us know they appreciate our business. More important than regular routine maintenance we have had times when we desperately needed their help, weak battery, "strange" noise under the hood, etc etc and it's always, "don't worry, we will take care of you". And they always do. These folks are great. If you have a Japanese car and care about your car, then this is the place to go on the peninsula.

Justin is a gem in the industry. Everyone I've talked to there was genuinely helpful, but Justin, he is a superstar when it comes to customer relations. First off, they are below the average cost, honest on the labor times, never pushy, and always available... even on his days off, Justin sensed I was worried so he even offered his personal cell so I can call and make a decision. He gave us an extremely detailed summary of what they found and only gave me knowledge, not persuasion, to make my decision. I asked to do the minimum to ensure safety and also to cut down on my costs, and he was glad to do so without trying to scare me into buying more service as so many other shops do. What's also convenient is they have a lock box which enables you to pick up your car at any time, even when closed. They also offer the same if your dropping off. They had the car done in a day. I've been to many shops and never felt as comfortable as I did here. Communication is what sets these guys apart. That, along with honest, fast, reliable service, makes this place my 1st pick for taking our car. Oh and they also warranty their parts, so there's peace of mind when you leave the shop as well. And one last thing, this isn't the first time I've been here, we've been coming here in the past and it's the same Justin, same great service, same great price. 5stars, they deserve it.

I was having issues with my dealership misdiagnosing something and not wanting to deal with a malfunctioning part because of the misdiagnosis. Put out a request for a reputable company and one of my friends recommended A+ in San Carlos. I was checking out their website and a live chat popped up. I explained my issue and the rep said I could bring my car that day (Friday) though it wouldn't get looked at until Monday. That timetable was completely fine with me, as my car was on the Peninsula already anyway and I don't drive it often anyway. They quoted me a price for diagnosis, which was fine. Got a call Monday afternoon as promised telling me that the part was removed. It wasn't what the dealership claimed, which made a frustrating situation with the dealership even more frustrating. But the service I received from A+ was excellent. They were looking into taking my car to another dealership for me (because the real issues came to light), which was going above and beyond what they needed to do. When I went to pick up my car, the price quoted is what I was charged. And my car was washed! (The dealership didn't even wash my car, which is something they used to do in the past). Great, friendly customer service that went above the call of duty, if you ask me! Thanks for the referral David A and thanks for the prompt and attentive service A+! I would highly recommend A+.

I had a great experience taking my car to the Japanese auto repair. The entire work was done in a quick and professional matter. They ordered and paid for "Uber" to take me home and later back to the shop. Through the entire time they explained what needs to be done on my car in detail, by calling me before they took any action on the repairs. Naeem Subedar was the gentleman who was assigned to my work, very knowledgeable and professional. I believe the professionalism is the overall culture there. I highly recommend the shop to everyone.

Amazing Customer Service. Honest, fast turnaround. Justin helped me check out a potential used vehicle. For a reasonable fee they checked my car front to back and gave me a comprehensive report. He gave me great advice, and treated me in a respectful manner. I highly recommend this place.

Much happier with this place. After some "issues" with their last repair they apologized, gave me a free loaner, and rechecked all of their previous work. Since it was suspension work I feel much safer. That, and they rebated me $500 worth of labor on the original job without my asking. That really is going the extra mile to make things right. I will stay a customer! I give them 5 stars for making it right, but only 3+ overall given the original issues. A supposedly repaired part just FELL OFF in my hand. God knows what other​ more serious "repairs" are waiting to fail at 75 miles an hour on the freeway.Their formerly good service was not so good this time. I had to keep calling to find out anything since they seemed to have forgotten me. That, and they had the car for a week for things that are normal repairs. And, when it was "done" they had forgotten to install a part. This place has gone downhill since my last visit.
